Keyur Sorathia Projects Contact

Update: "Get back to basics of Design".. Imagine a mobile phone which only calls.. a keyboard has a ABCDEF structure instead of QWERTY.. and many more..A workshop during techfest 2010 at IIT-Bombay

Fascinated with immense power of technology and its abilities to change the way we live, Keyur Sorathia, Interaction Designer, is interested in blending technology & design to enhance our everyday life experiences. To support his interests, he actively participates in design research, understand users' needs, envision solutions and prototype interactions. He strongly believes in exploring different interaction modalities and is interested in merging real and virtual world. He believes

  • Why couldn't be designed interactions as simple as interacting with everyday life objects and tasks?
  • We say, we do "user centered design".. but do we?? It seems more like "technology centered design" where not only human but HUMAN + TECHNOLOGY is core of design
  • For sure, it is a learning path and these thoughts & research make designer mature towards her work..no??

Keyur is a distinguished graduate in Interaction Design from Domus Academy/Interaction Design Institute and under graduate in Electrical Engineering from Gujarat University, India.
